According to KTLA 5’s Sandra Mitchell, a man in a Bentley drove up and told her that he is in the process of purchasing the property and that he paid to have the “Hell House” torn down. Now, community members are delighted that city officials stepped up. A vacant house that caused major problems for a local community has now been reduced to rubble.

Journalist Jessica Fox (Jillian Geurts) assembles a team to break into the hotel in hopes of discovering the truth. But the source of the tip and the secrets of the Abaddon Hotel are more horrifying than any of them could have imagined. After a few more rounds of re-cuts, the film was locked just before its first public screening at the Telluride Horror Show in October 2015. The film would also screen at Fear Fete Film Festival the same week, where it won the best paranormal film award.

Production

Instead, when word of the incident swept along the Strip, instead of damaging them, it seemed to fuel Guns N’ Roses’ reputation as rock & roll outlaws, the real, no-fucks-given kind of deal that so many other bands were just throwing shapes pretending to be. A wild rumour circulated that the charges had been dropped after Axl slept with the mother of the girl concerned. No one seemed bothered that a 15-year-old had been through a harrowing experience, whatever the detail.

Everything in the film is framed by a group of documentary-style talking heads, discussing the tragic attempt of their friend Margot (Bridget Rose Perrotta) to make a true-crime exposé of the Carmichael Manor. This is the site of what, in 1989, appears to have been a double, perhaps triple murder, committed by either father Arthur Carmichael or his son Patrick, the latter of whom in Cognetti’s pileup of Lovecraftian lore turns out to have worked at the cursed hotel. But after the slaughter at the manor, both men disappeared, never to be seen again, into the surrounding snowy woods. Along with her estate-agent girlfriend Rebecca (Destiny Leilani Brown) and mentally ill brother Chase (James Liddell), the suicidally undaunted Margot decides to spend five nights on the supposedly haunted property, cameras at the ready. In 1970, the property was purchased by aging billionaire Rudolph Deutsch, who wished to have it explored in order to determine the nature of a potential afterlife.

Or at least, you did at first… Once word got out that the alley behind the Hell House was deserted at night, a tiny urban black hole in the midst of West Hollywood, it became the place to go once the clubs closed for the evening. “Between us and the other bands, the alley began to attract a lot of drugs, booze, girls and other musicians. Strippers from the neighbourhood constantly came by, often bringing Quaaludes, Valium, coke or booze to share,” recounted Duff. Soon, from the early hours until daybreak, hundreds of people were gathered there to party.

There were rumours that the garage was under surveillance from undercover officers, and also the LAPD vice squad. Despite Axl’s bravado, he and Slash quickly skipped the scene when reality — and the possibility of a mandatory five-year jail sentence — hit home. Then, in December 1985, came a dark and serious incident that signalled the end of the Hell House era.

A 15-year-old girl named Michelle entered the rehearsal space one day, and, according to an interview Axl later gave to the LA Weekly, “started fucking with our equipment.” There was some kind of scuffle and the girl ended up running naked along Sunset Boulevard. She’d hung around the Hell House periodically, along with lots of others, and had found herself in the wrong place at the wrong time. Havel's tapes document the company's arrival at the Abaddon Hotel as they set it up for Halloween.

However, before any action was taken, the “Hell House” caught fire on Thanksgiving Day, much to the dismay of neighbors who told KTLA that they had been telling the city that the house was a public safety hazard for months. Residents complained to the city that homeless people were using the property as a drug house and demanded action at City Council meetings. Construction crews tore down what West Hollywood residents dubbed the “Hell House” on Thursday, bringing a long period of violent interactions and loud arguments in the middle of the night with homeless people to an end.

I'm not the most “feeling the feelings” guy when it comes to picking up on stuff. But, when I get freaked out, there are some vibes there for sure. He also got barred briefly from the Rainbow — some achievement — and the band earned a reputation for drunken obnoxiousness, bumming drinks, starting fights, aggressively panhandling at their own gigs. The West Hollywood Sheriff’s Department became aware of the parties in the Gardner Street alley, and heard the tales of drug dealing and other anti-social behavior. And like the creation of a star, the Hell House was to suck in a lot of dark matter before it emitted the white heat and light of the Guns N’ Roses who were ready to make their first records. There are always torrid tales that surround the creation of a rock & roll legend, but in the Hell House bad things happened, things that do not reflect well on anyone involved — however famous and lauded they were to become.

It’s a critique of celebrity culture in a way that wasn’t really part of the conversation at the time. And I think maybe critics felt like I was complaining about being famous with my own tiny little pimple version of fame. And it was also such a tonal shift from my very warm and inviting “I’ve Heard the Mermaids Singing.” And the collective opinion sort of was handed down from on high that it was terrible and nobody invited it anywhere. It had a tiny little blip of a life, but nobody actually saw it. Gradually, she and her husband grew apart, with Ms. Connolly saying Harold “was basically married to the hammer” while she was more interested in life outside of sports. It didn’t help, she said, that journalists and others insisted on treating them as a collective instead of individuals, or considered her a mere appendage to her husband — a convention that she saw as deeply, painfully American.

In 2011, the film's executive producers asked for a script revolving around a haunted attraction gone wrong. Casting took place in New York City in February 2014, and production took place shortly after, in May. Initially, the filmmakers were in search of an abandoned house to shoot the film in, as the original script had the events taking place in a house. As early as 2012, the director had been visiting many abandoned buildings and homes, including two in the New York county where the story takes place, Rockland County, New York. After not finding anything suitable, they instead began searching for real haunted house attractions to shoot in.

Hell House is a sprawling manor house located in rural Maine, ideally placed to avoid outside attention. It is constructed in Gothic Revival style and is meant to resemble an English manor - Belasco was American, but grew up in England. One notable modification is that every window of Hell House is boarded over.

One year, she joined other members of the Czechoslovak junior basketball team in the Slovakian city of Košice, where they were assigned to help build a railroad. Ryan began his opening statement by thanking many parties, including his coaches, teammates, support staff and, of course, family. He had multiple conversations but didn’t receive any opportunities he particularly wanted. Ryan, now 38, grew up dreaming of playing professional sports. Blank and the Falcons gave him an “opportunity of a lifetime,” which he turned into a 15-year career that has him sitting top-10 in NFL history in passing yards and touchdowns. Blank offered an introduction to the player who perhaps didn’t need one, during which he rattled off nine of Ryan’s franchise records and several other accomplishments, headlined by his MVP nod in 2016.

After the overwhelming success of HELL HOUSE LLC since its release in 2016, fans have been clamoring to know if and when writer and director Stephen Cognetti would be following up this critically acclaimed found footage horror film with a sequel, this September. Cognetti’s fourth installment, The Carmichael Manor, along with his previous entries in the franchise, are amongst the top streamed films of all time on Shudder. After filming wrapped within Lehighton in May, the production then moved to New York City, where most of the interviews were filmed. In mid-June, filming was complete, and the movie went to post-production, where it would be edited for the next five months, before the first private screening of a rough cut would be seen in the Rose Studio at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. A creepy place with lots to explore that is perfect for those haunted creepy pictures! You'll find a big creepy dollhouse in the middle of the haunted forest, a foggy labyrinth, a diner, and more.

Taking pity on Ms. Connolly, she offered tips on her technique and instructed the young Czech athlete to bulk up. Ms. Connolly set out to become an orthopedic surgeon and was studying medicine at Charles University in Prague in 1954 when she began throwing the discus with encouragement from coach Otakar Jandera, a former Olympic hurdler. He introduced her to the fundamentals of the sport while playing “The Blue Danube” on a loop over the loudspeakers, teaching her how to spin in time to the waltz. And from the moment he welcomed seven people who held the key to his future into his college living room, from the first-pass touchdown to the last and from 14 years of memories, Ryan accomplished that goal. “I understood the position and responsibility that I had and I tried to do it as best as I could every day,” Ryan said. “To come out and be the best version of myself and the best quarterback I can be for this organization and city.

Belasco's body was never found, since he had sealed himself into a small lead-lined room in order to become a ghost. Hell House contains a profane Chapel (often sometimes called the "Hell Chapel") meant as a mockery of Christian worship. The paintings within are almost exclusively pornographic, and the image of Jesus on the chapel's crucifix has a massive erection. Belasco likes to give the impression that this "church" hall within is the center of the hauntings at Hell House, though this is not really the case.

It was a terrible place, one you’d only consider if you were young, broke and living day to day with some fucked-up dream in your head. It isn’t just Cognetti’s solid deployment of the backstory that impresses; he and cinematographer Josh Layton also show a devious command of camera mechanics, vital to the subjective found-footage experience. The astute positioning and focus to suggest liminal terrors is almost on a par with J-horror’s sharper alumni, managing to wring fresh fear out of old staples such as sinister door-knocks (though perhaps not from red clown noses rolling Shining-style down the hallway). The likes of Ringu were well attuned to the uncanny intrusion of the moving image, and one set piece here – in which Rebecca’s laptop is invaded mid-presentation – is a fine digital-era update on that. Cognetti’s film spins its fireside yarn with an old-timer’s relish.

Although Ms. Connolly said she had hoped to continue competing for Czechoslovakia after moving to the United States — her husband sold one of his hammers to finance their trip across the Atlantic — the country’s Olympic committee sent her a letter effectively disowning her. She gained U.S. citizenship and helped her parents move to Southern California, where she and her husband settled in 1959 and were welcomed as celebrities. The next year, she had her breakthrough at an international track meet in Poland. She finished 28th out of 28 throwers but was approached during a workout the next day by Nina Ponomareva, a champion discus thrower who had earned the Soviet Union its first Olympic gold medal.

The story is an irreverent show-business satire about a trio of teenage runaways who form a band called the Lovedolls and hit it big, navigating their way around sleazy would-be managers, a rival girl gang and other obstacles. Maybe coming from a world where you’re imbibing all of these quite dramatic, mythic images all the time makes you just play more outrageously. I studied philosophy at Calvin, so I didn’t have this idea of what film should be.

Slash noticed that Steven “seemed like he was drunk,” when he showed up at rehearsals, despite not having been drinking. It transpired that a girl he was sleeping with, in an apartment further up on Gardner Street, and her roommate had got Steven into smack, and once Slash started dating the roommate, he was soon doing it as well. In addition to heroin and all of the pills and booze, a creepy crack dealer named Philippe also became a fixture. With Tracii now out of the way, and the other band members unready to challenge a guy so seemingly set in his own mind, Axl was ready to assume leadership. Sure, Duff was determined to keep pushing forward; like Axl, he wanted to rehearse regularly and get the show on the road as soon as possible, but he would yield to the singer in terms of writing.

Instead, expect to see clean lines, minimalist living room furniture and a focus on bringing nature indoors. With busy modern lives, more and more homeowners aim to find a balance between minimalism and luxury for their living room ideas. Adopt Scandinavian design principles to create a space that is focused, functional, and features only a few meaningful and cherished items. While you don’t need to purge everything to create your space, you should carefully curate the belongings that are out in the open to keep that calm mood intact. A Nordic design–inspired space is incomplete without textiles, whether they’re in the form of a chunky knit blanket or an area rug. “It’s amazing what just a few accessories can do in a fairly minimal space to make it feel warm and cozy,” Blood says.

Pull Elements From Different Design Styles

However, the style was still characterized by simplicity, functionality, and a focus on natural materials. If you’re looking for a modern and calm interior design style, you might want to consider Scandinavian Interior Design. Scandinavian spaces may be bright and light-filled during the daytime. “A dimmed lamp or lit candle (kept well away from the curtains) on the windowsill ensures a warm and inviting feel both inside and out,” Brantmark says. Despite the emphasis on earthy neutrals, there is a place for color in Scandinavian design. “In recent years, there has been a surge in accent walls in dark blue, green, gray, and even black,” Brantmark says.

How to achieve this aesthetic

According to the architect, the spaces were designed to have a "cosy and inviting feel, where you can truly hibernate while taking shelter from the frigid days of Nordic winter." Scandinavian interiors can be created wherever you live – and Scandinavian design mistakes swerved – by following a few guidelines. Our guide has all you need to know about Scandinavian interior design from the experts so you can bring it to your home.

“Scandinavian interior design focuses on functionality—finding a space and place for activities and things,” Cukerbaum says. Then, make decisions that’ll make your go-to activities as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Scandinavian design may be sleek and minimal, but unmade beds are very welcome. “The key is to make the space look lived-in,” Niki Brantmark, creator of My Scandinavian Home, says. Scandinavian interior design can be defined as a minimalist and functional aesthetic that has been influential since the mid 20th century. In this space by Allison Babcock, wood, stone and concrete are offset by velvet upholstery and shaggy sheepskin to create a cozy, texture-rich space. Shapely furniture and mid-century seating provide sculptural interest in place of art and wall décor. Use green to evoke the earth, grass and plants, blue for the sky and ocean, and yellow for the sun and flowers. Neutral tones such as brown, cream and beige living rooms will all make your interiors feel more natural, clean and fresh. The coziness of bohemian decor and Scandinavian earthiness is a match made in interior heaven.

Minimal interiors can come across as cold and impersonal, but Scandinavian spaces manage to feel both sleek and cozy.

Imitate nature by adding outdoor cues such as woody incense and fresh flowers for a floral smell. The same feeling of being relaxed and free in nature can be brought into your home by stimulating the senses. Select a few key pieces of furniture in each room that look good but also work hard, paired with a few carefully chosen accessories, fittings or soft furnishings to tie the room together. Whether it’s a line drawing or an abstract watercolor, Scandinavian wall decor often depicts or alludes to nature or the human form. You can showcase your favorite monochrome artwork by itself, in a series or a larger arrangement.

Alamo Drafthouse Promotes Chaya Rosenthal to Chief Marketing Officer

No other possession movie has felt this dangerous either before or since. Recently we had the chance to chat with Isgar about his love for film and his programming work at Alamo (drafthouse.com). “Alamo Drafthouse Naples and HappyLand is a natural evolution in that sense, because what’s more fun than seeing a movie and then hitting golf balls between the legs of a giant gorilla? Mother’s Day is better with our lineup of mom-approved movies, a refreshingly floral new mug, gift cards, and a fabulous Mother’s Day Feast.

Locations

Alamo Drafthouse emerged from bankruptcy coming out of Covid in June 2021, with five new locations opening thereafter along with the shuttering of its Phoenix venue. At the time, the circuit came out of bankruptcy with the completion of a sale to Altamont Capital Partners, funds managed by affiliates of Fortress Investment Group and Drafthouse founder League. Alamo Drafthouse is known not just for its menu with craft beer and locally sourced food, but also themed events tied to new and beloved movies. Rosenthal helped to elevate some of those tailored in-theater experiences, like a “Barbie” “dress up and slumber party” screening and an “Asteroid City” pop-up in the lobby of Alamo Drafthouse Manhattan. She recently spearheaded the Time Capsule Series, which brought back classic and cult films from particular years as a way to keep theaters full in between blockbusters.

Entertainment

On April 29th, doors will open to Florida's first Alamo Draft Cinema location - which promises scratch food, local drafts, bottomless popcorn, bottomless soda, and all types of movies, and yes mini-golf, all in one location. This location differentiates itself from the others with a nine-hole miniature golf course at the entrance. Each hole is themed after a movie, the most noticeable of which is “Happy Gilmore,” hence the HappyLand Movie Miniature Golf name.

She’s worked at the company since 2017 and previously served as VP of marketing. Rosenthal has 20 years of marketing experience, including stops at Fandango and its parent company NBCUniversal before joining Drafthouse. The top locations for Alamo Drafthouse last year were NYC’s Brooklyn, Downtown L.A.

In 2006, due to rising rent in downtown Austin, theater owners took steps to hand the theater over to a non-profit group called the "Heroes of the Alamo" foundation, operating the theater as a cultural arts center. However, with the historic Ritz Theater on 6th Street offered as an alternative location, the original Alamo was closed. The final event at the original site consisted of a special triple-feature event on the evening of June 27, 2007. The final movie shown was Night Warning, with star Susan Tyrrell attending. After the movie, audience members were allowed to disassemble their seats and take them home as souvenirs of the theater.

Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Naples doesn’t have normal concession stands. Instead, it has a full-service menu and bar, with wait staff “ninja” trained, according to the company, slipping in and out of theaters with hand-written orders on sheets of paper before returning not just with popcorn, but full meals. The newest movie theater in Southwest Florida opens April 29, and it does so with an array of entertainment offerings that go beyond the usual options across the region. The news comes about a week and a half before CinemaCon, the major studios and exhibitors’ annual love-in in Las Vegas.

When you attend a streamed service from the comfort of your home, you lay witness to the groundbreaking voice that has captivated, challenged, and changed millions of lives across the world’s most prominent stages. It partnered with the city to give out food and milk to those struggling to make ends meet. And it became a mass vaccination site, where more than 50,000 shots were administered. Author, public speaker, televangelist and former pilot and singer Kenneth Copeland has undoubtedly turned religion into a hugely lucrative lifestyle.

Ministries at the Potter's House

The Potter’s House (TPH), founded and led by Bishop T.D. Jakes, is a nondenominational, multicultural church and global humanitarian organization consistently ranked among the nation’s most influential churches. Time Magazine recognized Jakes as “America’s Best Preacher,” and the Dallas-based minister has pioneered people toward purpose for the past 45 years through his life-changing T.D. His earnest approach of meeting others where they are emboldens them to reach the places they want to be. Meet founder and senior pastor of the Elevation Church, Steven Furtick. The New York Times bestselling author makes his millions through his work with the church, YouTube videos and book sales. Like others on this list, he refuses to talk about his wealth, though Elevation has clarified that Furtick’s salary is set by a board comprised of other megachurch pastors.

Who is Justin Bieber’s trendy but controversial pastor, Judah Smith?

Osteen famously said he stopped taking a salary from the church in 2005, but hasn’t noticeably lacked for anything since, instead cashing in on book advances, royalties, speaking engagements and various merchandise deals. Community leaders agree that the impact that The Potter’s House has had on the city has extended past the church’s walls. “Our Pathway program is an attempt to find a pathway for people of all colors to be gainfully employed, make a living wage, have an affordable place to stay that is within the budget of their income and enable them to have a productive life,” Jakes said. Jakes, who hails from West Virginia, started The Potter’s House in 1996 with 50 families. Since then, the ministry has seen explosive growth and now has campuses in North Dallas, Fort Worth, and Denver.

The biennial MegaFest hosted by Jakes has drawn tens of thousands to Dallas for a festival of faith, family and film. The Fort Worth campus was opened in March 2010, initially meeting at the Fort Worth Convention Center. Wednesday School blends the intimate, small group atmosphere of Sunday School and the nostalgic learning environment of Vacation Bible School.

“If faith leaders, if corporate leaders, work together with elected officials and community leaders that four-pronged approach will create a much more level playing field,” Jakes said. The drawer tab can be found on the top right of the Echurch Video Player. Jakes noted that faith leaders play an important role in Black communities and should also be at the table alongside elected officials and community leaders solving problems. In 2020, Jakes announced he would start The T. D. Jakes Foundation, to help connect working adults and students with training, jobs and affordable housing. The nonprofit has created what it calls its Pathway program that aims to provide intervention services and accountability to its participants. Throughout the coronavirus pandemic and last summer’s racial justice movement, the 30,000-member megachurch has found ways to serve its southern Dallas community and beyond.

Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson is grateful for the work Potter’s House has done, In a video that will be shown at the 25th anniversary event, Johnson describes Potter’s House as a community institution. Jakes is invested in providing safe neighborhoods for people to live. The Potter’s House operates as a non-profit organization with its principal campus in southern Dallas.

Welcome to The Potter’s House!

Not surprisingly, he has constantly refused to publicly disclose details of his wealth, including during a 2007 investigation by the US Senate Finance Committee. T.D. Jakes taps into a growing global audience who enter his digital-sphere through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, Vimeo, Google+, SnapChat, Periscope and the T.D. Over the years, he has met with leaders on the world stage, including President Rawlings of Ghana and President Obasanjo of Nigeria. He was a guest of the King of Jordan, King Abdullah, the President of Trinidad, George Maxwell Richards, and the president of the Republic of Uganda, Yoweri K. Museveni, among others. “I suspect that no matter what happens next in our city, The Potter’s House and Bishop Jakes will be around to help because that’s what you do,” Johnson said in the video.

What is Wednesday School?

He noted that Jakes’ powerful gospel preachings have been matched by programs that serve everyone from the underserved, to former inmates, to those seeking counseling services.

Accelerated growth and shifting demographics have necessitated expansion to additional sites in North Dallas (Frisco, Texas,) Fort Worth, Texas and Denver. Our vision at The Potter’s House (TPH) is for God to mold you into a purpose-filled vessel, pointing all grace and glory back to Him. It’s our prayer that His Spirit will fully illuminate you on this heaven-bound journey, through every trial and victory. And as He empowers you to persevere through life’s struggles, may you confidently communicate God’s vibrant hope to others — shining His eternal light on the lost.

Let’s take a closer look at their net worths, with the help of Celebrity Net Worth and other sources. Jakes sees his ministry as being a part of the city’s way to address this trauma. He believes things can change if everyone is working towards solutions.

In 2015, Bishop Jakes launched “Conversations with America” a series of statically based studies on the issues that impact broad cross-sections of Americans. In 2016, Bishop Jakes held a live forum to discuss study results on criminal justice, economic reform, national security and racial polarization with MSNBC’s Chris Matthews. The by-invitation only event drew a crowd of 200 including members of Congress, the White House, journalists, lobbyists, and others and aired via Facebook Live with an audience reach of exceeding 1 million.

Every Wednesday, attendees can expect to glean learnings key to optimal spiritual development. Like Dollar, Hinn faced the Senate Committee on Finance in 2007 and has also been challenged by Ministry Watch, an independent organisation that reviews the financial accountability and transparency of protestant ministries. The appropriately named Dollar has been widely criticised for his extravagant lifestyle.

The Success Bug estimates his net worth to be US$61 million. Bishop T. D. Jakes is a charismatic leader, visionary, provocative thinker, and entrepreneur who serves as senior pastor of The Potter’s House, a global humanitarian organization and 30,000-member church located in Dallas, Texas. Following an immersive corporate worship experience, Wednesday School attendees will break into a smaller group to attend a class of their choice. Classes will be led by various TPH pastors on specific topics designed to cultivate a deeper, intentional relationship with God. Preacher, televangelist and author Joel Osteen is best known for being the pastor of Lakewood Church, founded by his father in Houston, Texas. His church in Houston is an enormous former sports stadium with capacity for almost 17,000 people, so it’s no surprise he is one of religion’s wealthiest stars.

Nassau Cruise Port is the cruising gateway to the historic, vibrant city of Nassau, and the busiest transit port in the world. The port, which is the economic hub of the downtown core, has been revitalized into a visual masterpiece. With over $300 million invested in upgrades and innovation, it has been transformed into one of the great waterfronts of the world. The cruise port concession bid won a consortium part of which is Global Ports Holding PLC (subsidiary of Global Ports Holding BV / wholly-owned subsidiary of GIH-Global Investment Holdings). Nassau Cruise Port terminal serves major passenger shipping companies as a port of call. Nassau is The Bahamas' main/principal and largest seaport as well as the country's capital city - located approx 310 mi / 500 km east of Florida USA.

Ports by Region

Phase two involves completing the marine works and making upgrades to existing infrastructure. Expansion of the port was recently completed through the addition of a sixth berth, which increases berthing capacity and allows Nassau Cruise Port to host three Oasis-Class vessels at once. The first phase of the project, which involves the demolition of current buildings and structures, is underway. In July 2021 was officially opened Margaritaville Beach Resort Nassau. Day passes cost US$115 (adults), US$45 (kids 3-12), US$0 (kids under 3). Day passes are inclusive of Water Park fee, US$25 credit (food and beverages), Wi-Fi (unlimited), beach access (chairs).

As a result, visitors can take a DIY-approach to exploring Nassau with help from the Bahamas.com website. Or, book a cruise ship excursion highlighting historic forts, Bahamian cuisine, "land and sea" programs, private island experiences and even Junkanoo-style music and dancing. Nassau's nearby Paradise Island district offers beaches, restaurants and shops as well as the Atlantis megaresort, which is among several properties offering day packages for cruisers in search of a daylong all-inclusive experience.

Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas

Ascend to the top of the staircase to reach Fort Fincastle, constructed in the late 1700s atop Bennett's Hill. Sweeping views from the fort's bluffs encompass downtown Nassau, the harbor and the cruise ship dock. Nassau is extremely popular as a warm-weather getaway destination that's closer to the U.S. As a plus, while technically not located in the Caribbean, Nassau and the Bahamas offers the same splendid sunny skies, brilliant blue waters and amazing culture and traditions.

Coco Cay, Bahamas

Don't forget to bring your towel; chairs are available for rent chairs from vendors. Three long piers run parallel to the shore and can accommodate up to 8 cruise ships (depending on size). Even the farthest stops are close to downtown Nassau, as the map below shows. However, if cruise passengers have any difficulty walking, the port offers a shuttle service to take them to the terminal, also known as Festival Place.

The Potter's Cay conch shacks can be found beneath the high-arching bridge that connects Nassau to Paradise Island. Adjacent to lively fruit markets, the brightly colored conch shacks feature nearly 40 chefs in different shacks cooking fresh conch dishes in myriad ways. True to its Caribbean traditions, the Bahamas' indigenous cuisine combines flavorful spices with fresh tropical fruit and seafood. Whether found at a lively outdoor market or gourmet restaurant, Bahamian gastronomy is filled with island flavor. The largest celebration is Junkanoo – a colorful parade of people dressed in festive costumes that dance to the beat of drums, whistles and cowbells.

A cheaper alternative is the No. 10 bus, which charges around $1.25 per person. The 2.5-mile-long beach is often described as Nassau's best, but it's one of hundreds across the Bahamas distinguished by bleach-white sands and remarkably clear blue waters. Cable Beach is home to several top Nassau resorts and offers a full array of watersports activities.

At the resoty guests can enjoy gambling, premium shopping, visit bars and explore the property. The project's Phase I included the extension of the docking pier, building two new marinas (yacht berthing facilities) and also upgrading the existing structures. Royal Beach Club Bahamas will be developed with premium beaches and RCI's signature beachside resort amenities and service. In February 2020, RCG purchased land from private landowners ("multiple real estate parcels"/13,5-acres/5,5-hectares) on Paradise Island's western coast, at the cost of ~USD 50 million (~EUR 42 million). Additional 7 acres/2,8 hectares were leased by The Bahamas government.

Montague Beach is situated east of the Paradise Island Bridge and is home to a historic fort constructed in the 18th century. The beach promenade is a popular hangout on weekends and public holidays, with local vendors offering delicious local food and drinks. Cable Beach is about a 20-minute drive from Prince George's Wharf and is accessible via taxi.

A long walk down the beach will bring visitors to Atlantis, where they can pose for their prerequisite Instagram shot. Nassau's nearby private islands offer a premium beach experience within a 15- to 20-minute ferry ride. Most cruise lines offer shore excursions to Blue Lagoon Island, but travelers can also book a visit through a travel advisor or on their own online. The excursion tends to be popular and does sell out, so be sure to reserve early in your voyage or before you leave home. Many products are necessarily imported and that means prices, including meals at restaurants, can be high. Nassau can also feel a bit "touristy" at times, as the Prince George Wharf cruise ship dock can host as many as five large cruise ships at once.

Graycliff Hotel is not very large and offer day passes (around USD 100 per person). The hotel has several dining rooms where guests can order the hotel's famous pizzas (around USD 20). Near is the Grayliff Chocolate factory offering free samples in its gift shop. The Nassau Waterfront was also upgraded (USD 300 million project) and now has 60+ retail shops and venues for food and beverages, a wine bar, an art gallery, an amphitheater (capacity 3000 seats).

Located on the island of New Providence, Nassau is the capital and economic, administrative, and cultural center of The Bahamas. It is one of the busiest and most popular Caribbean cruise destinations due to its proximity to the US and a great tourist offer that consists of a wide variety of attractions, historical landmarks, private island getaways, breathtaking beaches, adventure activities, and more. Nassau cruise port is situated in the northeast of the island, within walking distance from the historic town center, and the cruise terminal is officially called Prince George Wharf. It can accommodate up to eight ships, depending on the size, and the distance between the berths is short, which might result in large crowds and a slightly chaotic atmosphere. The meeting place for shore excursions is usually in front of the ship, on the pier, so make sure you show up on time and bring your ticket where you can find the tour meeting time and place details. If you are looking for a nice beach break, you have several options.
